 About the Game

Containment Collapse is a top-down dystopian survival shooter developed as part of a final major project. You play as the last survivor of a failed experiment, hunted by evolving AI enemies that adapt and destroy their environment to reach you.

This project showcases advanced AI behaviour using Unity’s NavMesh system, dynamic enemy pathfinding, environmental destruction, and a modular combat system — all tied together within a decaying sci-fi setting.


 Features

  •  AI enemies that track, chase, and attack using Unity NavMesh
  •  Variant zombies capable of destroying obstacles to reach the player
  •  Optimised spawn system that escalates difficulty dynamically
  •  Real-time combat with ammo tracking and damage feedback
  •  Full UI feedback for player health, ammo, and session time
  •  Environmental strategy — use walls, space, and movement to survive

  • Custom AI systems with cooldown-based combat and collision triggers

 Project Focus

This game was created as part of a BTEC Unit 13 final project. It focuses on technical implementation, modular system design, and gameplay innovation over visual presentation. All features have been tested and documented in line with coursework requirements.
